Mummy & Baby Chic had the privilege to attend Nigora and Duncan Bannatynes wedding on the 3rd June 2017. What a gorgeous wedding, held at the Quinta do Lago restaurant situated on a beautiful lake. Our dear friend Nigora looked absolutely stunning. Wearing an off-the-shoulder flowing, lace white wedding dress with a gorgeous long veil.

The Flowers were beautiful, whites and greens…… my favourite!! The bouquets consisted of Avalanche Roses,Peonies, Lisianthus,Brunia,Eucalyptus and Senecio. The archway …… wow!!! Avalanche roses, peonies, lisianthus, hydrangea, phalaenopsis orchids, gypsophila, eucalyptus and twigs.

Duncan was the true scotsman and wore a traditional kilt and jacket. So nice to have finally met him – we are so happy for them both and wish them all the happiness in the world. Oliver’s first wedding and first time meeting a celebrity 🙂
Something we thought was so romantic was that duncan made his wedding speech in Nigoras native language – how amazing!!

The tallest wedding cake i have ever seen with delicate sugar flowers …. so perfect they looked real. The colours were very vintage which really complimented the table flowers. Having a candle in the centre of the flowers really carries the flowers into the evening, making it so romantic.

The second day wedding party was in true tradition of a Uzbeckistan wedding. It is so interesting and special to see how other cultures celebrate their wedding days. Nigoras, family and friends truly showed us the meaning of a Uzbeckistan wedding. The dresses that Nigora changed into were stunning. When we were told to take a place at our seats we were greeted by the bride Nigora , Nigoras mum, her bridesmaids and all the other women of the family, as a symbol of modesty and friendship. This was beautiful and so different. After the bride greeting she then welcomes member of the family with tea and sweets which is so special. It is also tradition for the family and guests to give a small gift to the bride and groom. We were all taught to say to the bride and groom in Uzbekistan “Быть счастлив жить долго и красивой жизни” – “Be Happy, live, Long and beautiful life” – how gorgeous is that!!! When Nigora and Duncan Bannatyne came through, Nigora carried on with another tradition which is where the bride bows to her groom, family, new family and friends.

It was so lovely to be apart of Nigora and Duncan Bannatynes Special Day.
